Across his career, he has helped guide approximately $1 billion in development and transaction activity, coordinating owners, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and capital partners from early planning through completion. His graduate training in architecture and industrial design adds a practical understanding of how people, buildings, budgets, and project teams come together.

Is this only for older homeowners?

Will my home look institutional?
That is exactly what thoughtful consultation helps avoid. We help you identify priorities that support comfort, usability, and personal character, then prepare you to discuss them with the appropriate licensed professionals.
Do you provide architectural or engineering services?
No. Renewstead provides independent consultation, home planning, and owner representation—not architectural or engineering services. We do not prepare drawings or specifications for construction or permits, determine code compliance, or act as the designer of record. Those services must be performed by appropriately licensed professionals retained for the project.
Do you perform the construction?
No. Renewstead does not act as the architect, engineer, contractor, or trade contractor. Through Remote Homeowner Representation, we assemble and manage independently retained local professionals using virtual meetings, shared documentation, progress media, and field information supplied by the professionals responsible for on-site work.
Do you visit the home or project site?
No. Renewstead is a nationwide virtual service. Renewstead Planner guides the homeowner through a structured capture process, and our staff reviews the resulting photos, videos, measurements, notes, plans, and follow-up responses remotely. For active projects, local licensed professionals and contractors remain responsible for field verification, site safety, inspections, and construction execution.
What areas of the home do you review?
Typical reviews include entries, stairs, circulation, door widths, bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, lighting, storage, first-floor living options, security, technology, and the path between the home and vehicle.
Can you help if we are not ready to renovate?
Yes. In fact, early planning often creates the most value. A phased roadmap can identify simple near-term improvements while preserving flexibility for larger work later.
How is this different from asking a contractor?
A contractor is responsible for pricing and constructing its defined scope. Renewstead represents the homeowner: helping establish the brief, compare teams and proposals, coordinate competitive bidding, monitor decisions and costs, and keep the broader project aligned with the homeowner’s priorities.
